  • DO stop using any facial scrubs and exfoliators the week before your appointment

  • DO avoid direct sunlight for the week after your chemical peel

  • DON’T use retinoids such as retinol, Retin-a, or Differin for the week leading up to your appointment

  • DON’T wax the area being treated for at least a week before and after your peel

  • DON’T get a chemical peel if you’ve been on Accutane within the last 6 months
